  14.   Have you ever wished you could use
  15.  
  16. your Commodore 64 as an alarm clock?
  17.  
  18. With the built-in clock and fantastic
  19.  
  20. graphic and sound capabilities, the
  21.  
  22. C-64 seems to be the perfect
  23.  
  24. candidate for an alarm clock.
  25.  
  26.   ALARM CLOCK keeps track of the
  27.  
  28. current time, A.M. or P.M., as well
  29.  
  30. as a time to sound the alarm.
  31.  
  32.   The seconds may be displayed in the
  33.  
  34. middle of the screen in large numbers
  35.  
  36. by pressing the '1' key.  After three
  37.  
  38. seconds, the screen will return to
  39.  
  40. showing the time in large numbers.
  41.  
  42.   To set A.M. or P.M., press the '2'
  43.  
  44. key.  The computer then asks for AM
  45.  
  46. or PM.  Answer 'A' for AM and 'P' for
  47.  
  48. PM.
  49.  
  50.   To display AM or PM, press the '3'
  51.  
  52. key.  The screen will show AM or PM
  53.  
  54. for two seconds.  The screen will
  55.  
  56. then return to showing the time.
  57.  
  58.   Pressing the '4' key will sound the
  59.  
  60. alarm.  If the volume is too high,
  61.  
  62. turn down the volume.  If you don't
  63.  
  64. think it is loud enough to wake you up
  65.  
  66. in the morning, turn the volume up.
  67.  
  68. To turn off the alarm, just press any
  69.  
  70. key.  The computer will return to
  71.  
  72. showing the time.

  74.   To set the alarm, press the '5' key.
  75.  
  76. The computer will then ask for a time.
  77.  
  78. You are to enter it as 0100-1259.
  79.  
  80. Don't use colons or seconds.  As an
  81.  
  82. example, 1259 = 12:59.  After you set
  83.  
  84. the alarm time, the computer will ask
  85.  
  86. for AM or PM.  To set the alarm to the
  87.  
  88. correct setting, input either 'AM' or
  89.  
  90. 'PM' to this prompt.  Remember to
  91.  
  92. press RETURN after you have input the
  93.  
  94. AM or PM information.
  95.  
  96.   By pressing '6', you can see what
  97.  
  98. time the computer is set to go off at.
  99.  
  100. After eight seconds, the screen will
  101.  
  102. return to showing the time.
  103.  
  104.   To change screen color press the
  105.  
  106. '7' or '8' key.
  107.  
  108.   To exit this program and return to
  109.  
  110. the PowerPlay program menu, press the
  111.  
  112. 'q' key.
